About World Stroll
Learn the whole world, one short stroll a day. Five relaxed minutes with a map, a short story, a famous dish, a few words of the language and a gentle quiz.
Who it is for
World Stroll is made for curious adults, and especially for people over 40 and over 60 who love travel, history and good food, whether they travel for real or from their armchair. Activity leaders in care homes, clubs and libraries use the printable packs and the big-screen quiz with their groups.
What you can do here
- Take a trip to one country: its place on the map, a short history, dishes and recipes, cities, landmarks, words and phrases, and local tips.
- Answer ten friendly questions and collect a stamp in your passport.
- Play the daily puzzles, Mystery Country and Dish of the Day, and share your result with family.
- Print a free large-print pack for a group, with a quiz and an answer key.
Right now 100 countries have a full trip, and every other country has a short quiz built from basic facts. New countries are added regularly.
How we keep it accurate
Every country page is researched from sources we list at the bottom of the page, then checked by an automatic audit and by a separate independent fact check before it is published. Read how we make the country pages.
Free, and easy to read
World Stroll is free. There is no subscription and nothing to buy. You do not need an account: your passport is linked to this browser, and you can sign in with your email later to keep it safe and open it on other devices too. We use large, clear text, big buttons, a light and a dark theme, and we never rush you with a timer.
